Knowledge Transfer Networks
KTN Central has links to all the KTNs and some general information, like what KTNs are and what they do. Rather than just paraphrase all that here, I’ll report what actually happens in practice. I’ve joined two KTNs:
I’ve also registered to attend a couple of events at i-Health, a three-day conference linked to the Health Technologies KTN:

Complete amateurs! Just got this email from MedilinkWM:
Yesterday the Fire Department confirmed that they were unable to approve our permit for the Show Home in the Birmingham Bullring, based on their concerns around potential for fire risk. We had received indication throughout the design and build process that the stand would be suitable, and despite continuous conversations and correspondence, we have been unable to reach a positive outcome.
Therefore, the launch of the i-Health Network is officially postponed. We are sincerely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We will be rescheduling the unveiling of the Show Home and all of the concurrent briefings for another venue in the Midlands in the Autumn.
But the work of the i-Health initiative will go on. The Network is still seeking more companies, inventors, end users and health professionals to join in and help identify new opportunities to create individualised healthcare solutions. A series of short briefings specific to the i-Home and i-Diagnostics will be scheduled, if you are interested in attending please email Fiona Ellis on Fiona@MedilinkWM.co.uk.
Again, we are very sorry for the short notice and will notify you of the new venue shortly.
Sincerely,
Tony Davis, CEO
